When we really want or crave something, we don't approach it with timidity. We are brave, courageous... even in the face of adversity. How deeply does your purpose drive you?
At the end of his life, the Apostle Paul had immovable courage and resolve. His demeanor was amazing and is worthy of emulation.
Read how he approaches the end of his life in I Timothy 4:6-8
"6. As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. 7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to His appearing."

He wasn't dying as a patriot or as an old man falling asleep to awake in the heavens. He was dying as a public criminal at the hands of an executioner! Yet he was calm, strong, convinced, resolute.

Things may not be ending the way you dreamed of for 2016. There may not be a visible "blaze of glory." Maybe you aren't leaving this year with the applause of men and crowds shouting your praises. All of that doesn't matter. What matters is your heart; your courage and your readiness for the next stage of life you are about to cross into.

Go into 2017 like a warrior. Lift your head from those self-defeating feelings of rejection and disappointment. Stand tall and walk boldly into what's next. When you stand strong you confuse your enemies and people who planned for your defeat.
My prayer for you is that you will finish 2016 STRONG!
